iPor Fin!
(Finally!)
Whew, I have escaped from the house for an hour or so and have found an internet cafe! We recently moved (once again, I know, this is becoming a less-than-annual habit of ours
) and do not yet have a phone connection, therefore nor do we have internet...but we are working on it! So, what in the world have I been up to??1. Trip to the States:
What a wonderful visit! It was hard to fit everything in in 3 short weeks, but I did my best. There were 2 weddings, a few family get togethers and then everything in between! Due to lack of time, here is a quick photo update of the visit:
(Me and baby David Roscoe - I visited my adopted family the VanderWeides, they have 6 girls, 5 of which are now married (the 6th gets married August 1) and 4 of which have children, it was so good to see all of them again!)
(The 'nieces and nephews' with their aunties Maria and Krista)
(Kendra and me at the rehearsal dinner)
(The tent all ready for the reception. There were 20 people in the bridal party, but when the bride has 5 sisters, what do you expect??!!)
(The bride, Alisa Rivera, and Kendra)
(The bride and her sisters - there were still 4 other bridesmaids
)Back in Grand Rapids, I was able to catch up with some much needed sister time and also spent time with friends and family:
(I went to the park with some friends Faas and Kenny (they visited me in January), my sister Anna and cousin Claire)
(Reunited and it feels so good!!)
(I spent some time making journals with cousins...)
(The finished products)
(We also went on a walk around their farm...)
(We made wishes...)
(And just had a great time together!)
I cannot even begin to explain all of the ways that I was blessed on this trip. So many people opened their homes and their lives to me for the few weeks I was able to spend with them, it was such a beautiful picture of community. God has blessed me with loving family in so many parts of the state of Michigan, in so many parts of the country, and even the across the world. Thank you to all who welcomed me so warmly into your homes, I hope someday I can return the favor!
God Bless
~KathrynMichael
p.s. I ran out of time...I will have to continue this list of "what I have been up to" on a later date

I love the bridesmaid dresses. That's one of my favorite colors. :)
Lol, I had to do a double take on the first picture of you back in Grand Rapids with friends and cousins. The girl in the middle in the blue jacket looked like she was going to have a baby with the ball blended into her jacket. :P
It looks like you had a wonderful time though. :)
You are glowing in these shots hun. You can tell that you felt loved and was enjoying every moment with your loved ones. It's been so long since I have been in touch with you and I am glad to hear that you are doing well. Hope it doesn't take too long to get your internet connection going. I always love to read about your endeavors hun.
Blessings along with some big ole {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}
@CrazyKey123 - I initially thought the same thing, LOL Too funny.
I always enjoy your posts. Your smile shows real inner strength and beauty. God bless you! ~Polly~
Looks like a wonderful trip. Judi
I enjoyed hearing (and seeing) about your trip. It's true that there never seems to be enough time when visiting, huh? When we were home for the birth of our grandson, we also had a lot of traveling to do for the ministry, and fitting all that in around seeing family and friends was a challenge. Another month would have been good, but of course, we have work to do, so we can't take that kind of time off! I am glad you got to reconnect with your friends and family.
Not only did you receive a blessing by your trip home, your family and friends received one also and we did as well. We will get to hear of your fun and see things you enjoyed while home. I've missed you sweet girl. You are a blessing for God with your tremendous love for Him. Hugs Nanny
I love all your pictures... It makes me almost feel like we are sitting on the bed and you are telling me about your adventures. <3
The first time I read Little Women, at the MATURE age of 12, I thought it was exceedingly sappyish. ewww. But then when I read it again at 15, it had such a encouraging effect... Marmie's advice and the honest struggles of the girls really struck a cord. <3
@PollythePatchworker - Thank you so much!
And I totally agree with your comment about Little Women...Marmee“s advice - especially to Jo
- always hit home!
@BusiBeth - YAY! I am glad you liked it
